About Master Byukwoon
"Byukwoon is a spiritual name: 'Byuk' means thunder and lightning, and 'Woon' means clouds." Byukwoon possesses a nature that is both powerful and penetrating like lightning, striking directly at the core, and gentle and harmonious like clouds, appearing and disappearing as needed. Master Byukwoon has been practicing and teaching Sun-TAO, an ancient mind-body training method used in ancient Korea for nearly 40 years.
From a young age, Master Byukwoon came to understand the pain of life , began to question himself and his life, and longed to find answers to many of his questions. In his early twenties, he came across a simple description of a danjeon breathing practice in a Buddhist magazine. He began training diligently on his own and eventually had a mysterious, miraculous experience. As he continued his studies alone, he began to realize that he needed a teacher who could guide him further in his spiritual practice more safely and precisely. He started Sun-TAO training and soon became a master in 1987.
Master Byukwoon has worked tirelessly as the Head of Education and main trainer and developer of various programs. In this capacity, through seminars and workshops, he has been able to teach to major corporations, government and military departments, hospitals, educational and social institutions and give personal mentoring to individuals along the way.
In 1991, Master Byukwoon came to the United States, first to pioneer the methods of Sun-Tao,
and later in 1996 to establish holistic learning centers. Through the establishment of these
centers, Master Byukwoon was able to train others to become spiritual leaders. His influence
has spread throughout the world and includes individuals from Korea, USA, Canada, Japan,
Britain, Germany, France and Russia.

Currently, he shares the principles and practices of Sun-TAO through both individual and group sessions. In addition, he offers spiritual healing & consultations to support personal growth and development.
One of his visions is to establish and flourish an online community that will provide people around world with easy access to ancient Sun-TAO training methods to actualize Love for the Earth & Love for Humanity.
